Supporting Our Communities

MarketWorks

In 2018, Citadel and Citadel Securities announced the launch of MarketWorks, the first digital learning initiative designed to teach high school students about how capital markets work and to empower them to make responsible, lifelong investment decisions. Through an engaging, gamified learning experience, students tackle economic and investment concepts to learn how the government, corporations, and individuals come together to participate in the financial marketplace. MarketWorks is available to schools in the Greater Chicago Metro Area and neighboring counties as well as schools in Dallas, TX at no cost to the schools or taxpayers.

The Kenneth C. Griffin Charitable Fund to make second-largest gift in University of Chicago history

The gift will help advance the department’s efforts to impact the world through economic inquiry and analysis.

New Computer Labs at Carnegie Mellon

Partnering with Carnegie Mellon University, Citadel helped create the state-of-the-art Citadel Teaching Commons. Support includes technology to support research in machine learning, distributed systems, and parallel computing architecture.
