Andrew Janian is the interim Chief Technology Officer at Citadel. In this role, Andrew oversees the firm’s core technology infrastructure and directs the teams responsible for developing and operating the advanced research, investment, and risk-management platforms that power Citadel’s market-leading results across global financial markets. Previously at Citadel, he was a Senior Managing Director responsible for technology underpinning the Equities business as well as leading the firm’s Platform, Cloud and Core Engineering organizations.
Prior to joining Citadel, Andrew spent 13 years at Two Sigma, where he held a variety of senior leadership roles, including Head of Data Engineering and Chief Information Officer.
Andrew is a member of the Engineering National Council at Washington University in St. Louis and serves on the Leadership Council at Robin Hood. Previously, he served on the board of Crux Informatics and as an advisor to Uncharted Power.
Andrew received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
