The Conference
Travel Grant

Introducing a grant to support rising talent in STEM. Share ideas, connect with colleagues and make an impact at conferences around the world.

Expanding
Opportunities for
Exceptional Students

Our work depends on the innovation, curiosity and ability of our research teams. Conferences are integral to our progress, as they allow us to better understand today’s problems and remain at the forefront of our disciplines.

With that in mind, we’ve launched the Citadel Conference Travel Grant, an exclusive opportunity for motivated students in areas like mathematics, physics, statistics, and electrical engineering. This grant is open to those currently enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s or PhD programs in these disciplines.

Selected applicants will attend the world’s top conferences with their financial needs fully met, allowing them to focus on pushing the conversation forward in their chosen fields.*

*Please see FAQs for conference-specific requirements.

Full-Access Passes

Citadel will cover the entire cost of a full-access conference pass for selected applicant.

What We’re
Looking For:

Eligible candidates:

  • Are currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s degree or PhD. We are particularly interested in applicants in mathematics, computer science, physics, statistics or another quantitative field.
  • If you are applying to attend a research conference that publishes papers (such as ICML or NeurIPS), preference will be given to applicants who have submitted at least one paper to that conference.

Our panel will also consider the candidates’ academic performance, publication record and previous awards.
