Increasing access and opportunity
Convened and funded a groundbreaking initiative that provides no-cost, high-speed internet service to Chicago public school students and their families. This first-of-its-kind program has significantly reduced the digital divide in Chicago and inspired other communities to do the same.
Convened and funded the national movement for advancing data literacy in K-12 education and ensuring that all students have access to this critical curriculum.
Funded the evidence-based, personalized tutoring intervention designed to support students struggling with math and give them the confidence and skills they need to graduate from high school and pursue their dreams.
Convened and funded the initiative inspired by Chicago Connected to bring no-cost, high-speed internet service and digital training opportunities to more than 100,000 underserved students in Miami-Dade County.
Provided funding to accelerate opportunity and prosperity for the 23 million Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who strive to build a better future in the United States, with a specific focus on promoting appreciation of AAPI history and culture and facilitating data-driven research to create opportunity and ensure safety for those within AAPI communities.
Partnered with Thrive Scholars to provide high-achieving students of color from low-income communities with support to succeed at top colleges and in developing meaningful careers as part of an effort to open opportunities to students with an interest in STEM and finance and increase industry diversity over time.
